    The game is fun. Performance could be better (I average around 80 fps on mostly medium settings). It is believed it will be improved with the release of the Ascendance expansion. In my ~50 hours of playing the game has crashed twice, neither of which happened at critical moments during hunts or cutscenes so I'm not too beat up about it. I got the base game for like $24 USD, definitely worth the price for me. As someone who is relatively new to the series (having played Rise and World), this feels like a good evolution for the series gameplay wise. You could argue focus mode is maybe a little too forgiving with positioning, but honestly, I think its just a fun mechanic that allows you to hit the monster more consistently. If you're a purist about it you can just not use it.

    This game was my first introduction to the Monster Hunter series-Well actually, I had played World for a tiny bit and didn't find it quite fun, too overwhelming and complicated. But now, I bought this game to play with my friend and he's a huge monster hunter fan. And he showed me how to play, and one I learned, it's goated. So many monsters, so many weapons, so many armor pieces, so many quests, so many things to do in this GOATED game. Genuinely try this game out, because I swear you'll like it. This game is also really fun with friends. Only real complaints is the FPS and textures, but it's mostly fine if you use A.I upscaling. [h1] Gamer Out [/h1]

  • i just bought the game and it keeps crashing on launch. I haven't even gotten a chance to play it once and until that gets resolved i will have a negative review
