I liked this quick and cute little puzzle game, it was nice to gather all of the pieces needed for each "memory" and put them together while ultimately keeping track of the connections each had with the other! I enjoyed the cozy feeling of this game with its music and art style and would recommend it to anyone looking for a short and sweet, not too difficult puzzle game!
It's like Wilmot Works it out but you have to go acquire the puzzle pieces scattered in the small levels. There's no challenge to acquiring the pieces (basic pressure plates and taking specific pieces to their designated location) except for the awkward controls that made my wrist sore. Irritations: 1. With Wilmot, you could very precisely pick out which piece you wanted when they were all next to each other because the arrow keys and aswd weren't both locked to character movement (iirc). With this game, there's just a single button for picking up whatever is nearby and highlighted. You can try to urge the character in a specific direction to grab the item, but at least 50% of the time, it grabbed the wrong one first for me. 2. Rotation does weird things. Again, with WIlmot, I'm pretty sure you could choose which direction to rotate the piece around your character and they kept the same orientation to each other when doing so. In this, you can only rotate one way but it skips over a position if it thinks there isn't space for the piece. But also, if you have two connected pieces, it doesn't keep their position to each other and they'll no longer be connected upon rotating, so unless you're carrying just one piece, it gets all jumbled and is better to just drop the pieces and walk around to be on the side you want to be on for transporting them. 3. The rebinding of keys doesn't stick around between play sessions, and despite changing q to rotate pieces and space to pick up, the game kept claiming q would pick up an item. 4. Everything takes up a square space, but the character doesn't necessarily lock to that square. So when moving around pieces I wound up bumping others and getting stuck on walls because I was a millimeter off from being able to pass through. Constantly. 5. There's an achievement for beating the game in one play session... So this game is going to remain incomplete for me as my wrist can't handle that despite how short it is. I don't dislike the concept (I've replayed WIlmot Works It Out several times and for many hours straight), but this game feels poorly executed.
I really liked this game. Puzzle games really turn off the brain and are fun, I like how the plot progresses within the games.
