Close, but no cigar. Here are the pros and cons of this alternatives to "Monster Rancher". Pros: = More reasonably priced, for the overall video game. = Turn based combat is a good move. = Some interesting in-game creature designs. = At least it's not greedily made, and neither is the main "Monster Rancher" series. Cons: = Monster designs are not as good or inspired, compared to the "Monster Rancher" franchise. = No monster sub-races of species, and no proper fusions like the "Monster Rancher" series is notable for. = This feels too much like a gacha game, (only without being greedily made) compared to "Monster Rancher. = Still FAR too slow paced, and getting a "legendary monster" is nearly impossible. In due respect to the developers? Close but no cigar. They want me to play it? Start by trying to make it play more like "Monster Rancher", but with turn based combat and more inspired designs. Otherwise, I wouldn't advise buying it, because it feels like a bland rip-off that is equally UN-satisfying and confusing. = My rating: 2/10 (Terrible) = My advice: You'd be better off with "Palworld"! = DON'T BUY THIS VIDEO GAME...wait until the devs decide to improve this video game AND gain inspiration to greatly improve on this video game, so it doesn't feel elitist or headache inducing, too!

If you liked Monster Rancher 2 back in the day this game scratches all of those old itches in a way I have not seen in some time. highly recommend giving it a try!

It's a decent game with an okay gameplay loop, but it's just a little too easy really. There is less to do in it than there was in the original Monster Rancher game I played on ps1 and the monsters of this game aren't as good looking either, which is saying something. If more content is eventually added, I will update my review. Until then I have to say that people should probably just play Monster Rancher.
