I am genuinely blown away by the gameplay. It’s been spreading through my friend group server like a very cute virus. You get to a point in the game where you go ‘we need more employees’ then suddenly you are trying to figure out which friend of yours will be the most expedient to convince into a virtual maid dress. As we level up, I keep thinking there can’t possibly be more content, but then there is! The game has a huge depth in its gameplay from having to balance your budget, juggle orders, and devise strategies to deal with shortages on the fly. Or as you buy more tables and chairs, how to deal with more customers. One strategy we started using was pre-prepping common orders or base ones before opening for the day. Then one person runs out and hands out fliers to fill up the tables to maximize our foot traffic intake. It really was amazing how fast we would shift into roles. One person would call out orders and tend to customers, two would make them. This got blurrier as the cafe got bigger, with us having to run back and forth more. One session I pulled out my calculator to figure out how much money we would save by baking muffins instead of buying them. When I turned around to announce my results of us saving around $5, my friends had baked enough muffins to fill the top fridge shelf. There is a huge amount of decor, me and my friends got really into theming our cafe after a school. We even had a detention corner for a few days that we kept accidentally neglecting. As the game gets more decorations, it will only get more fun. We often joked that decorating was our paycheck. By the end of my first play session, I wanted to mod in some posters. The character creator has an above average amount of options than you’d expect at this development level. Only thing I’d think to ask for would be hats and multicolored eyes. Seriously this game is an amazing for its price! Give it a chance and it will suck you in. I mean look at me. Four days and 1 player turned into 5 players of the game with a few more potential converts lined up.
