I wish there was option between recommend and not recommend on steam. Simply negative because there isn't many other reviews yet and might change later. The app absolutely works on the steam frame standalone and steam vr. I think it's the most reliable one out of all of them with great support for all the 3d formats to watch movies and show images. Had a lot of fun watching movies in vr. However, this app is already expensive. Maybe worth it cause it's reliable. But still more expensive than pretty much all vr games I pay for. But also has a lot of in app purchases and fomo free weekly image sets if you don't collect you have to pay quite a lot for them later. Feels like an expensive world travel demo made to make businesses pay. I don't think I can ever justify paying for these unless there was an easier way to bundle or discount a large amount of these. The UI/UX experience is also extremely middling but at least reliable. Menu's and buttons kinda just exist without much UX thought. The software support might be the only thing worth paying for this if you are into 3d content. There are indeed other options for 3d video or 3d images. But this was the only easy standalone option during the steam frame launch and I paid the price tag for it. Competition and support from other already existing apps will only make this less worth considering.

I was looking for a player for the steam frame for some scuba diving videos to show my dad VR (without having him learn controls for VR games). Works great - my only complaint is that the rotating/zoom controls aren't working right now.

If you are disappointed Sony didnt give you 3D bluray support on PSVR2 this app is for you. Excellent for any PCVR headset and the only on PC that can play straight MKV MVC Bluray rips. Plays no hassle and exactly like you would want it to. Disney 3D movies look great on the PSVR2 OLED display.
