I'm Making a Monster

i dont really have an opinion on this. the story is heavy, yes, but it's not well-written, it lacked in some places. also the choices given to us about the material we're making the monster with doesnt really define ANYTHING about the monster's nature like there was nothing about what the main character went through. like i wasnt given ANY information at all about what's happening. still good effort though. the art is beautiful.

I recommend it… on sale. There are some really good narrative games that you can find completely free from their authors and developers. These games last a bit longer, have more interactions, memorable art direction, and make you want to buy something just to support them for being so generous and creative in giving away their work like this. And this one… It's short. I'd only play it again to get the achievements, not out of genuine interest in discovering different situations. The art is beautiful, but most of the enjoyment happens in your head, not in the game itself. And there are more natural and enjoyable ways to politicize an experience where you're trying to disconnect from reality when you reach the end… which is a bit anticlimactic. But I recommend it because there are people who would enjoy such a compact experience, and they'll feel welcome by the options the game offers based on their genre preferences.

A short and poignant story about loss and grief. Stunning art, peaceful music and excellent writing. I really enjoyed exploring this one!
