я очень сильно люблю THE GIRL. рассмотрела каждую иллюстрацию с ней из галереи сотню раз. со мной их посмотрели сотни любителей токсик юри. я не такая, как они. я особенная. каждый раз я думаю, что она будет принадлежать только мне. я планирую устроиться на работу, чтобы купить на всё, что я заработаю, сотню копий новелл с THE GIRL. из всей этой толпы поклонников THE GIRL именно я достойнее всех. так и вижу, как мы вдвоем будем сидеть под луной леса оксбури: я буду нежно поглаживать её по зелёным волосам, она будет смотреть на меня полными любви глазами. затем я попрошу THE GIRL поглотить меня живьём, она начнёт тихо посмеиваться, но с энтузиазмом исполнит мою просьбу. мы станем единым живым организмом — это ли не наивысшее проявление любви? именно так я представляю наши с ней отношения ♡

Toxic yuri, folk horror, and mushrooms are three great tastes that taste great together, who knew? This one may as well have been laser targeted at me. It's a short tale but one that's very novel and left me wanting more from the setting. The art's quite serviceable most of the time, with the bulk of the attention given to the setpiece CG as you'd probably expect. The music is VERY on brand with how it seems to draw inspiration from Youtube clips of mushroom "music". Y'know, the ones where electrodes are hooked up between synths and mushrooms and they turn the impulses into tunes? They're simple tunes but I felt it really added to the atmosphere. The track "Nights" is a great example of this. I do have some issues with the final scene, which I'll throw under a spoiler tag. The author mentions in the afterward notes that it was originally written with much heavier tones of assault/non-consent, but it still felt very present to me. That coupled with the overall justifications that the MC tells herself that come off as highly suicidal left me with a very sour note. Possibly this is something more regularly seen in this subgenre that I just wasn't expecting? I don't dip my toe in this particular water all that much, so hard for me to say.
