Halo Beats!

Визуальный стиль приятно удивляет: знакомые локации и персонажи представлены в ярком, стилизованном виде, который отлично сочетается с динамичным геймплеем. Механики игры интуитивно понятны, но при этом требуют определённой доли сноровки и реакции. Успешное попадание в такт не только приносит очки, но и запускает цепные реакции, эффектно очищая экран от противников. С каждой новой композицией возрастает сложность, что держит в напряжении и мотивирует оттачивать свои навыки. Саундтрек — это отдельная песня, он создан так, чтобы вы могли почувствовать каждую ноту и бит. 'Halo Beats!' — это отличная возможность взглянуть на любимую вселенную под совершенно другим углом, насладиться музыкой и проверить свою реакцию.

"Halo Beats!" is a somewhat pointless, minimalist rhythm/QTE game where you tap your iPhone in time with the beat while looking at a cartoon anime girl drawing, and uh... well, that's all there is to this. An incredibly shallow and pointless experience that barely qualifies as a game. I'm surprised to see this didn't even get a release on the app stores. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. It's been in Early Access for over 4 years, so this will probably never be a complete game, either. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Found this game while looking for Halo MCC. Lol. Exactly what I've been looking for in a rhythm game. Just a quick readable pick up and play game. I'm surprise this isn't more popular. The default music is pretty good from what I've played so far!
