[後半に日本語レビューあり] A Doll-Man's Suffocating Devotion in an Otherworldly Otome VN A girl finds herself drawn into a peculiar everything-shop tucked away in an otherworld bordering the realm of the dead. To make ends meet, she takes a job there, working alongside a doll-crafted young man whose calm exterior hides something far more possessive. What begins as routine, slightly-too-strange errands for the shop's clientele slowly unravels into something darker: the heroine was once offered up as a living vessel for the seal separating this world from the next, and her coworker's fixation on her is tangled up in that forgotten past. The core of the game is straightforward visual novel structure: work through the shop's odd requests, make dialogue choices, and watch the relationship shift accordingly. Missteps at key choice points can end runs abruptly, so a save-often approach is recommended. With 20 branching endings on offer, the game rewards replay far more than a typical single-route otome title, and a second protagonist-design version (face hidden vs. face shown) gives returning players a reason to run through it again from a different angle. Visually, the game leans on JP HQ anime art with a warm, folklore-inflected palette, and the CG count is substantial for the genre - around 70 illustrated events across the release, not counting expression variants. The male lead's voice work carries the tension: his delivery slides from gentle concern to outright possessiveness ("I don't want anyone else touching you...") without losing its quiet, controlled tone, which sells the yandere premise well. Full Japanese voice acting runs throughout the main cast. On the downside, this is a fairly text-heavy, single-perspective VN, and players expecting gameplay systems beyond dialogue choices and route management should adjust expectations. The horror elements, while genuinely unsettling in places (grudges, monstrous imagery, an oppressive undertone running through the underlying mythology), are used sparingly rather than constantly, so those drawn in purely for horror may find the pacing leans more toward romance than dread. Some may also find the possessive dynamic uncomfortably intense at points - which, to be fair, is precisely the point of a yandere-focused title. Between the layered mythology, a doll-man whose devotion tips well past healthy, and a generous spread of endings to chase, this can be recommended to otome fans with a taste for Japanese folklore horror and possessive romance in equal measure. HHF-chan's comment: "'I don't want anyone else touching you' lives in my head rent-free now - the good kind of scary!" Check out our Steam curator (link) , YouTube channel (link), and X(Twitter) (link)!
Beautiful game but literally incomprehensible in English. I am convinced that it was machine translated through ChatGPT or something similar. Scenes running together that don't make any sense in context to the dialogue, tons of broken sentences filled with grammatical mistakes, and the most egregious being the inconsistency with dialogue references. Within 15 minutes of gameplay, I witnessed the monster at the beginning of the game referenced using 3 different names. The characters would also switch back and forth between calling the protagonist "sir" and "woman." Please hire a translator to fix this English version of the game and I will change my review in the future.
