Ghetto Zombies: Graffiti Squad takes the familiar idea of blasting through hordes of undead and gives it a colorful street-art identity. Developed by Fogo Games and published by Nuntius Games and Vsoo Games, it is a top-down action shooter that favors arcade-style chaos over grim survival horror. Instead of presenting a bleak apocalypse, the game fills its world with bright pixel art, graffiti, mutant heroes, ridiculous weapons, and intentionally bizarre zombies. The result is a game that immediately establishes a playful personality while keeping its central objective simple: survive the undead, complete graffiti-related tasks, and make a mess of anything standing in your way. Combat is built around fast movement and shooting from a top-down perspective. Zombies can quickly crowd the screen, encouraging constant repositioning rather than standing still and firing into one direction. Graffiti adds an interesting twist to this familiar structure. Painting certain locations is part of progressing through missions, but doing so can attract unwanted attention. What would normally be a simple objective can therefore become the beginning of another hectic battle. This creates a satisfying rhythm between clearing enemies, moving through the environment, completing objectives, and preparing for another wave. Four young mutant characters are available, each bringing individual abilities and a different approach to combat. This gives players a reason to experiment instead of relying exclusively on one hero. The distinction between characters is particularly useful when facing larger groups, since certain abilities may be better suited to controlling crowds or escaping dangerous situations. The game is not attempting to deliver an enormously complicated character-building system, but the different heroes provide enough variation to keep its straightforward action from becoming too repetitive. The weapon selection is where much of the game's humor shines. Traditional firearms would almost feel boring beside creations such as the Ketchup Blaster, Gumball Shooter, Shark-Head Shotgun, and Witch's Broom. Weapons can be discovered while exploring, including in dumpsters, which reinforces the deliberately scrappy nature of the setting. These strange tools are not merely there for comedy. Trying different weapons changes how encounters feel and adds an element of discovery to the campaign. Exaggerated headshots and colorful effects further emphasize that the violence is intended to feel cartoonish and ridiculous rather than realistic. Enemy design follows exactly the same philosophy. Players are not restricted to fighting endless copies of ordinary shambling zombies. The undead population includes strange variations such as muscular monsters, tentacled creatures, zombie puppies, mutated police enemies, and other deliberately absurd creations. Their exaggerated appearances work especially well with the pixel-art presentation. Even when the screen becomes crowded, the game maintains a lively visual identity instead of falling into the gray and brown environments commonly associated with zombie settings. Boss battles provide larger challenges at important points in the campaign. These encounters help break up ordinary horde combat and give missions a stronger sense of progression. Facing increasingly dangerous threats also makes weapon and character experimentation more meaningful. Standard zombies can often be handled through movement and crowd control, but tougher opponents encourage players to pay closer attention to positioning, attack patterns, and opportunities to deal damage without becoming surrounded. The visual direction is arguably one of the game's most memorable qualities. Bright pixel graphics, graffiti-covered environments, green zombie mess, colorful attacks, and exaggerated character designs create a distinctive urban arcade atmosphere. Graffiti is integrated into the concept rather than simply being decorative scenery, wh…
