Fish Game

Off sale at time of review the complete package is $65.92. That's alot for pixels that look like fish. I wanted a virtual method of learning before the real thing which gets expensive very quick, this game does not really do that. My big complaints are you cannot lock anything down, you will accidentally grab the big centerpiece rock you spent two hours decorating around because the game defaults to grab all. There is no size indication for adults, and the "RNG Stores" in game only sell young fish.

ADD SKRIMP AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!! (MYSTERY SNAILS TOO) Ahem. I love this game a lot. As someone who itches to mess with aquariums constantly, the 50 bucks I spent on this game and DLC was totally worth it! (and will surely save me hundreds down the line in new tanks... Surely! 😂 ) Other than a few bugs (unable to quickly put a shop fish into your inventory from the name list PLEASE fix it drives me nuts) the game is gorgeous and fairly smooth even at high settings on my gaming laptop. The game definitely recreates the fun feeling of messing with substrate, stocking, planting, and hardscape! It is easy to get new and larger tanks (no grinding money here, which i love) all it costs is a few minutes of time which you will spend picking out hardscape anyways 😂 😉 Some quality of life additions would be very nice however. I would really like if there was a gravity toggle thing for hardscape. Sometimes, I just want to let a dragon statue fall and settle where it will instead of having to wrestle with the angle and height system. In addition, I think the blur effect when zoomed in on your fish camera avatar is wayy too strong. It helps with realism but not when im trying to chase down a specific fish or plant lol Other than a few quality of life nitpicks and minor graphical things, this game is a 10/10! P.S devs pleaseeee add invertebrates like shrimp, crabs, and snails. Call them fish in the menus if you must but omg if I could do neocaridina shrimp breeding in my 1-5 gal tanks(which I know breeding is a planned feature im very much looking forward to) I'd never play another game (or leave my house) again lol. Or just add a larger shrimp to get around size constraints like bamboo shrimp or vampire shrimp and I'd still be over the moon!!! Signed, a shrimp loving aquascaper

Honestly, I really like this game, so it makes me sad to do this. This game breaks. A lot. Three and a half hours in, I lost an entire tank. All the decorations, just gone. The first night, I managed to binge it for hours with no problems, but today it has crashed so many times, I lost track after 10. I've tried to fix it by verifying files, giving it more memory, restarting the computer, no dice. I was so excited about it and now I really regret buying the whole DLC package deal instead of just trying it first. With my current experience I just cant in good conscience recommend it to others.
