I wish people gave this game a chance. It was quite fun, I got this game out of a random key and i thought " i don't want this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game it looks like ♥♥♥♥" but then i installed it and got my ass whooped by a very hard cpu it showed me the potential of the combos and the fluidity of the moves the characters have i truly enjoyed my experience.
Fight of Steel: Infinity Warrior is a distinctive entry in the modern fighting-game landscape, built around the idea of giving players near-total control over how their fighter plays. Rather than offering a traditional roster of fixed characters, the game invites you to craft your own mechanized warrior from the ground up, selecting stances, special abilities, and combat chips to build a unique moveset. This design choice immediately sets it apart from conventional fighters: instead of mastering a predefined toolkit, you shape the toolkit yourself. The result is a game where creativity and experimentation fuel the experience as much as execution and reflexes. The customization system is the heart of Fight of Steel. Every fighter begins as a blank chassis, and you fill its combat slots with martial-arts chips—special moves that range from projectiles to grabs, counters, teleports, and high-impact strikes. Because each move is interchangeable across characters, players can mix and match abilities to create fighting styles that reflect their instinctive play patterns. Some combinations lend themselves to zoning and long-range harassment, others to high-pressure rushdown tactics, while still others thrive on baiting and counterattacking. This level of flexibility is rare in fighting games, and it helps sustain interest over long play sessions; there is always a new build to test, a new synergy to try, or a new combo line to refine. The game’s dash-cancel mechanics push this further, enabling fast strings and air-juggles that reward timing and mechanical skill. Combat itself has a sharpness and responsiveness that belie the game’s indie scale. Hits land with satisfying force, sound design amplifies the impact of punches and slashes, and visual effects make clashes feel explosive. While the models are stylized, the animations read cleanly, and the game does an admirable job of communicating spacing, hitboxes, and punish windows. Learning how to pressure opponents, bait reversals, and convert stray hits into damage becomes engrossing once you grasp the fundamentals. Overdrive and EX moves add layers of momentum and comeback potential, giving matches a dynamic pace where momentum can shift quickly without feeling unfair. The game’s presentation helps elevate the experience. The robotic fighters look distinct despite sharing similar silhouettes, thanks to unlockable parts, color schemes, and cosmetic customization. Stages are striking, with bold sci-fi artwork and energetic backdrops that feel cohesive with the mech theme. The soundtrack leans into futuristic beats and driving rhythms, giving each match a kinetic energy that complements the fast-paced combat. Although the UI can feel clunky at times—navigating menus or managing unlocks occasionally requires more clicks than necessary—the overall style projects a confidence that is impressive for a smaller-budget project. Online play is one of Fight of Steel’s strongest assets. The implementation of rollback netcode ensures stable matches even at long distances when both players have decent connections. For a competitive fighting game, this feature is indispensable, and it significantly raises the game’s value. Ranked matches, casual lobbies, and training tools provide enough structure to support both casual play and deeper competitive exploration. The player base may not be massive compared to AAA fighters, but when matches appear, the experience is remarkably smooth. Local versus and training modes round out the package, giving newcomers a safe space to practice while experienced players refine their custom builds. Where the game falls short is mostly in its single-player and peripheral features. Story Mode is functional but thin, offering narrative glimpses rather than a fully realized plot. Arcade Mode is brief and mainly serves as a platform for unlocking new parts. Challenge Modes offer variety but can feel grind-oriented, especially for players aiming to collect every com…
