Ekorella Vol 1

This is a nice first chapter of a (hopefully) still-under development larger RPG series. Initially what caught my attention was the artwork, at first glance it's crisp and colorful but then hits you over the head with some dark, sorta body-horror esque designs. But honestly by the end of this what won me over the most was the game design itself. The combat is very well tuned and assumes that you've played RPGs before from the outset, and the areas are rather sprawling and dense with side paths and missable goodies. Definitely looking forwards to the next thing by this team!

This is a gem of a game. The art and music are lovely, and the darker themes are very interesting, I truly want to see more of this game, I really loved it

Ekorella vol. 1 is a fantastic start to an RPG that left me immediately fiending for more. The story is dark and intriguing and it kind of reminded me of OMORI in the way it delivers its horror. It definitely left me excited to find out where the story is heading. The turn based combat is what you would expect from an RPG but where Ekorella really shines is in the art direction. I loved the animations for the moves and how the character's expressions changed in the portraits during battle. It really gives the main cast personality and I found myself invested in them as individuals. The enemies are delightfully weird and some are actually creepy. Horror RPGs are a dime a dozen and I think Ekorella is worth your time.
