this game is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. If you like free roam, dragons, and progressive gameplay, play this game. If I knew of a way to donate, I would.
if you want a good friendly dragon game where you are the dragon then this is the game for you keep in mind that it is STILL in PRE-ALPHA so it will seem as tho there isnt much to do for now just be paticent and let the devs work
Almost 3 years have passed since I last checked this game. Is it finally in a state of being an enjoyable game? Hell no. I wouldn't even call it a game. For issues, even the editor has the color picking part clipping halfway out of my screen, so I can't apply the color, unless I move that window up every single time. The UI in general looks just awful. Anyway, starting a new game, you are clipping through the world floor and thrown into some spot as a little hatchling that has to level and grow, with many things to be found out. All by yourself. But...why? This game desperatle needs a palyable tutorial, instead of a wall of text with barebones explanation. Starting a game just makes me want to ragequit and by my playtime it gets apparent that its very hard for me to even try this game. By tutorial I don't mean some explanatory text everywhere, but do it the way other games do. Make a sort of little tutorial mission, guided by an NPC to ease the player in. Even finding the keybinds is just skimming through the control keybinds in frustration. Even the simple Portal 2 beginning was a great opening, going through basic WASD for movement, interact key, looking up and down, all basic, but a good tutorial, guiding us through the base controls. So far so annoying. Now I pick my first quest: Gather ressources. Rocks, branches and something - good. So where do I find them? Well screw me, there is no compass marker or minimap. Or is there? Who's to say? The game most certainly not. Walk around and look at scattered rocks doesn't allow them to be picked. So only specific rocks, because those are part of the map decoration? So I fly around the perimeter. The map looks... just good enough. The assets really don't look great. The world also feels so dead. No animals, neither good nor bad anywhere. Aren't dragons supposed to hunt stuff? Little sounds and sound-effects, almost no npcs. It really doesn't feel like it would be worth exploring theworld, if there's only a barren wasteling with poorly-scattered assets of questionable quality. So what else to earn other that levels? Can we earn gear? Cosmetics? The character creator seems to hand everything cosmetic over already. I really wish this was a fun game, sorts of an MMO, but you play as dragon, but it simply isn't. After years we get more dragon species, yet there is still the most fundamental "game" part missing in the game.
