There's a shocking amount of depth to this game, I've been playing it for over a year on and off, and there's still stuff I haven't unlocked. I'd love to actually finish (i.e. win) a playthrough sooner or later, but this game is definitely worth its weight in gold. It is rather abysmally difficult though, and despite having that "roguelite" flair, it doesn't seem to actually make it much easier, just more diverse. It's still great.

I've been on the same starting run for over 5 hours ... it was interesting in the beginning now it is just repetitive. I feel like I can put less time into a run with Against the Storm and have a more rewarding experience. If you're the kind of person who doesn't want to put a dozen hours into the same run only to lose ... this game probably isn't going to feel good playing it. I'm not gonna fault it because the game loop doesn't mesh with me, but I feel like the devs can shorten a run by about 25% and you still get the "same" game. I'll probably continue because I'm curious about how hard the endgame is, but not sure if it has any replay for me.

I played 15 hours in one setting. Wish I had known about this sooner 10/10. Super addicting, if you like Rimworld or Against The Storm you'll love this game
