A fun adventure game. Well made and not too hard for newcomers to the genre. Even though the store page says that the game doesn't support controllers, it does.
Love RPG? Make sure to Follow my Curator PageA charming throwback to classic point-and-click adventures, Dexter Stardust blends sci-fi humor with light puzzles and a colorful, animated style. It doesn’t try to reinvent the genre, but it understands exactly what makes these games enjoyable. GOOF: ✔️Fun, lighthearted sci-fi story ✔️Clean, colorful visuals and animation ✔️Puzzles are logical and rarely frustrating ✔️Classic point-and-click feel BAD: ❌Short overall playtime ❌Puzzles may be too easy for veterans ❌Limited challenge and depth Verdict: A relaxed, enjoyable adventure that’s perfect for fans of classic point-and-click games or anyone looking for a low-stress, story-driven experience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21jCFM6QBGQ And don't forget to Subscribe to my Youtube Join my Steam Group
This review might be a bit on the late side, but every bit of attention can be helpful to the dev, and man, he deserves it! Dexter Stardust has a few weaker points, but to judge the game fairly, you have to have the right perspective. I have read people complaining about the game's lenght. If DS had been developed by a decent-sized team, that would be a valid point. But that's not the case. In fact, only 4 people are credited as creators/co-creators. If you ever even tried to develop a game of your own, you will know how much respect an indie-game of this size actually deserves. Hint: a LOT! The graphics are professionall, I've seen worse animations from bigger teams and the sound design, while not spectacular, still does its job well. The overall difficulty is a bit on the low side, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It allows for a quite steady progression. I even think that a higher difficulty might have been too much for a story that is, after all, just the first part of a larger narrative. I was thorughly entertained and I can't wait for the sequel! P.S. Play this and The Abandoned Planet. I hope the ending of that game ties somehow into the Dexter Stardust narrative.
