Deep Sleep: Labyrinth of the Forsaken

More of scriptwelder's stuff with turn-based combat mixed in. Need I say more? Husband and I picked the game up the second it came out, and the experience proved to be worth every moment of waiting. Beautiful visuals (I mean, what else did you expect), creepy atmosphere, a solid story, interesting characters, and the music. Dear gods, the music. We may have left the game on to fall asleep to it more than once—hence the 200+ hours of play time lol. The combat was challenging but fun. It's good to know that the bosses have been nerfed a bit—I understand how the boss fights may have been frustrating for some players. With that said, we beat each boss before the update after a minor respec. Didn't take any grinding, even though we left the Puppet Master—probably the most difficult one of the three—for last. As always, hoping for the entire series to be localized into languages other than EN and PL because I want my friends and family to enjoy the story without my attempts at simultaneous translation.

So yeah. It's a nice indie game with puzzles and good battle strategy gameplay. Good ol' references to Deep Sleep Trilogy and Don't Escape. The story's also nice with good explanations and plot shenanigans. I'm so happy to finally able play the 4quel to Deep Sleep series. Since the first one I've played, I always remembered how it was unusual puzzle point-and-click game back in old Flash era. It was simple yet very mystical with lots of stories in(notes, books and e.t.c.). Thank you to scriptwelder and the team behind it. Now, after finishing the game with all achievements completed, I'll excuse myself and get some real non-digital sleeping. Get it? Like good ol' deep sleeping times? I'm sorry, I'm no stand-up comedian. ALSO, PLEASE. LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO OTHER TRAVELERS AND GIMMI AFTER-CREDIT SCENES!!!!!
