Dark Fantasy Tower Defense

Just bad controls. hard to select builder. very very bad tower defense. bad/incomplete information on all towers. lack of towers in general.

Man I wanted so badly for this to be a good, fun TD game I could play with my buddies. Truthfully, it has the potential to be. However, in its current state, it is pretty much unplayable. The following complaints: - I got to round 80 without ever being challenged. The only thing that temporarily hampered me was "oh right, air units are a thing I need to account for." Beyond that, I just have a gigantic pile of gold at the beginning of my maze and I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs like "Its going to get difficult eventually... right?" - I'm not sure if its the mote factories or just the game in general, but once I built my mote factories for air support, the game crawled to a stuttering, laggy, unplayable mess. I can't even tell what's going on, I can't accurately move my character, its just awful. - The controls are just... stupid. TD games have been around for a long, long time. This is a solved problem. We don't need innovation in this area. The developer tried to do something different here, and its just a big miss for me. - Some additional graphical controls would be nice until the game is optimized, just some levers we can play with to help out with the plummeting frame rates. I lowered resolution, played with frame rate, tried windowed mode, nothing really seems to help. I have a pretty OK rig, its only a couple years old and was mid-range when I bought it. I don't have any problems with any other games, can usually run things on medium-high settings or better. I'm going to refund this, but I'm also going to keep it on my wish list and check back for updates. The game has potential, and the developer seems to care (looking at some of the community interactions). But right now, its not even worth the $5 on sale, unfortunately. Just too laggy, and just not challenging, and therefore just not fun.

I think this is a rough gem. I think the gameplay is ok, but the graphics are annoyingly bad and don't make sense to me. The resolution of the playable character differs from the buildings, as for the backgrounds, what makes it a mess. I think it would be good for the game if the developer can improve on this. I love this genre, i hope this becomes a good one!
