So it's in Early Access, and of course there's a lot of little issues and little bugs. But, given the competition against other cricket management sims that this game faces, it's not only shaping up to be good competition, but potentially a field-leader. It just needs a bit of time. And from what I can tell, the devs are listening to the players in a positive way. I look forward to seeing what it can do, because it's already doing some things a lot better.

I was extremely excited about this game and have been active in reporting bugs and giving feedback on the forums. Unfortunately, even in early access, I cannot recommend this game. It’s become evident the game is a Claude AI build and the reason for constant updates/patches is that an idea or bug is simply stuck in the AI model and the updated. The game has tons of “features” but few of them work, and it’s unclear if any have an actual impact on gameplay. For as outdated and feature-limited cricket captain is, it at least has cricket logic. And when you make the (precious few) decisions, they appear to have an impact on the game. This game has almost no cricket logic. And rushed “features” seem to be window dressing for very little underlying cricket code. At this stage, it is basically a space bar simulator, where you click away game to game and ball to ball until you run into a game-breaking bug. There is no immersion or real-world feel. And in game there is little to no discernible strategy or impact on the match. What you want is there: field placements, aggression, different pitches. But after starting many, many different careers, these feel completely meaningless, with zero adjusted cricketing logic for test cricket, ODI or T20. Maybe in the future it will get there. But given how the developer has responded to critical feedback, I highly, highly doubt it. I was a big supporter of this project to begin with. But now it feels like a vibe-coded nothing being run by a teenager. To be charged money for it in its current state is shocking.
