🔸 EXPECTATIONS: a funny sokoban game. 🔸 REALITY: a funny and cozy sokoban game. 🔷 Cat Squeeze is a sokoban type of puzzle game where we control a cat that besides pushing boxes, also goes down pipes and, given the conditions, can create explosions. These explosions are not only fun (and funny) but necessary to reach some solutions as they can be used to push blocks or break and get rid of them. Ultimately the goal is to reach the exit (pipe) of each level from our starting point and, optionally, gather some collectibles that later on will unlock extra levels. 🔹 The game is divided into 4 zones (+ the end), each representing one of the four seasons, with ~30 regular levels and 12 secret levels per area, for a total of ~165 levels that took me ~10h to complete. It´s easy difficulty with some medium towards the end of the harder levels. 💠 IS IT FOR YOU? It's a fun game, specially supported by the cute art, that's easy to pick up at any time, as it doesn't ask to hold a thousand rules at a time nor discover ultra secret interactions between the level elements. If gentle puzzles with a cosy theme are your thing, this cat will scratch that itch. Cat Squeeze is a nice time for sokoban fans looking for a twist on basic box pushing. The player-cat enters pneumatic tubes. When a tube exit has only one free space for the cat to exit, the cat explodes in a fit of anxiety or something and blows up a 2x3 area. It's as ridiculous a premise as it sounds and I'm absolutely here for it. Puzzles are definitely on the chill, easy-moderate side of difficulty but, you know, not every game needs to break my brain. There are good ideas here and combined with the mega cute art and vibes, I recommend Cat Squeeze, especially for a little break between more substantial puzzle games. Check it out!
