Casino Resort Tower

Criminally underrated. The amount of content in this game - in early access at that! - is just awesome!!! I guess my only complaint is that the learning curve can be pretty steep, I've given up on many casino's due to unforseen issues I didn't realise I had to plan for (and there's a lot of variables because there's a lot of game mechanics to keep in mind). But I actually kind of enjoy that part as well, I like starting a new casino with the aim of correcting the mistakes I made in earlier playthroughs. I've really only scratched the surface and I'm already so excited for the upcoming update.

It's hard to describe how enjoyable this game is, and it deserves far more exposure than it has. The management aspect is fun. You have to build amenities to satisfy guests and also to make your employees more comfortable with employee bathrooms and locker rooms, employee parking, etc.. The moodlets create fun little stories and I will just pick people at random and watch what they do. I had a guest stand in front of an empty cashier booth to get chips while the cashier was in the break room below her eating chips with a smug little grin on his face like he knew exactly what he was doing. The guest got too impatient, stormed off to the lounge and bought a newspaper with a moodlet about paying money to read today's bad news and somehow that spiked her satisfaction with the resort by 40% and make her happy with the place again. The whole thing just sorta works and it's such a shame this game isn't more well known.

I finally bit the bullet and bought this game after seeing it in EA for over a a year but now I kind of wish I kept it in the wishlist longer. Overall, the game just has a very clunky feel to it. The interface is difficult to navigate and I'm constantly closing windows. One suggested fix would be to allow the Esc key to close out of windows. So much of the game is locked behind the research panel that I found myself just speeding time for me to get enough of the research documents. I would love for my employees not to have mental breakdowns because their favorite snack is not yet available. The straw that broke the camel's back was trying to get the utility wires working. It legit stopped being fun after a few minutes of that. I think this could be a fantastic game in the long run, it just needs a LOT of polish.
