A bit unusual, this game mixes clicker mechanics with roguelite elements. It is not exactly a traditional clicker, though, because the clicking is automatic. Instead, your job is to move the crosshair over the bubbles that keep spawning and pop as many as possible. You have one minute to collect enough experience points from the bubbles, and since the crosshair is circular, every bubble within its range takes damage. If you reach the required amount of experience before the timer runs out, you get to choose a perk, such as a larger crosshair or a faster bubble spawn rate, and move on to the next round. Each new round requires more experience to complete. You also get to select a new bubble type that can occasionally appear among the basic ones. These special bubbles are much rarer and provide unique rewards, such as increasing a particular stat by one percent every time you pop that type of bubble, or simply giving you more experience. One nice feature is that your experience carries over between rounds. This means that if you perform well in one stage, you will probably already have enough experience, or at least be close to the requirement, when the next stage begins. The amount of experience required changes depending on the difficulty. The overall goal is to survive several rounds and eventually defeat a boss, which unlocks the next stage. The roguelite side of the game comes from the rewards you receive by filling a progress bar through popping bubbles. Once the bar is full, you can either keep playing or press a button to reveal three random perks and choose one. These perks belong to one of five categories. The first category is weapons, which work together with your bubble popping crosshair. For example, you can get an orb that floats around the crosshair or a black hole that pulls bubbles toward it. The second category is energizers. These activate at random intervals and provide various effects, such as causing a rare bubble to appear. The third category is pumpers. Their interesting feature is that they activate every ten seconds. Each activation increases a particular stat, such as experience gain or crosshair size. This means that the longer you survive, the more valuable a pumper becomes. There is a limit to how many of these items you can equip. When you start, you have room for only one weapon and six energizers or pumpers. Farmers are another category that uses the same slots. There are only a few of them, though, and their effects could easily have been included in either the energizer or pumper categories. The final category is planners. These do not take up any equipment slots because their effects are immediate. Unfortunately, only the weapon upgrade feels particularly worthwhile, while most of the others are fairly average. For example, you can instantly spawn several bubbles or gain additional refresh options that let you change the perks offered to you. Most items across all five categories are initially locked, and you unlock them by meeting certain requirements. You can check these requirements from the main menu. Some are things you will naturally accomplish over several runs, such as popping a large number of bubbles, while others are tied to progression, such as defeating a boss or completing a stage. The main menu also contains permanent upgrades. There are nine of them, covering things such as click rate, rare bubble chance, crosshair size, experience gain, and more. Each upgrade can be purchased multiple times, but the price increases significantly with every purchase. This menu is also where you can buy new bubble types, which you can then choose from after completing a stage. There are two currencies used for purchases, coins and the much rarer globes. Both can be earned by completing rounds. However, there is an important risk involved when deciding whether to continue. If you move on to the next round and fail to reach its experience requirement, you lose all the rewards earned…
Very fun and surprisingly relaxing game. It’s one of those games you can jump into when nothing else really feels worth playing, and somehow end up spending a lot more time with it than you expected. The gameplay is very chill and satisfying, especially when you start getting those big crits. There’s almost a little Vegas-style feeling when you hit a huge crit or get a great result, which makes the gameplay surprisingly exciting without becoming stressful. The audio and visuals are also really well done. Everything looks cool and feels polished without being overly flashy or tiring to look at or listen to for long periods. It has a nice overall atmosphere that makes it easy to sit back and just enjoy the game. I also really appreciate that the developer continues to push out new updates and improvements instead of just leaving the game alone. It’s clear they are actively taking care of it and trying to make the experience better over time, which is always a big plus. Overall, this is a really enjoyable game to relax with and a great choice when you want something fun without too much pressure.
1.7/10 you level up so fast you spend so much time pausing the game and choosing upgrades if you dont pop the X number of bubbles in time you lose everything you unlocked on that run spawned a blackhole and the bubble game froze can still pull up menu surrender or restart nothing on screen aside from that works alt tabbed out well playing again and the same thing happened. i smell fake positive reviews on this game that have no played this at all YUP reviews with 13+ hours and 0 achievements into the hidden game abyss with you
