Фактически это экшен-паззл с ролевой составляющей, симпатичной графикой и занимательным геймплеем. Возможность крафтить снаряжение, под каждого врага подбирая свою экипировку. Но главное-верно рассчитать отскок наших бросков и ударов, чтобы не попасться под ответку. Резюмируя-добротный проект с достаточно уникальной системой боя, с мягким юмором и забавными героями.

Simple But Fun Monster-Hunter-Like Beast Breaker is a simple turn-based game that borrows some core elements from Monster Hunter and combines them with a pinball mechanic. The unique scale-breaking sequence and the satisfying but sometimes unpredictable bouncing physics easily make the core gameplay addicting, along with customizable weapon variety and combination. The art style is cute, and the characters are all lovable sorts. Beast Breaker is definitely the hidden indie gem you need to try out. Things I Like About Beast Breaker: • Track The Beast: The core gameplay can be divided into two parts: the tracking/preparation phase and the hunting phase. What makes the first phase interesting is that it's a small race against time. The beast will consume the corrupted pools on the map and become stronger over time. You need to track the beast, learn its weakness and various traits, and collect enough materials to craft items (essence for weapons or consumables for various status effects) for the fight at the same time. Of course you can head straight to the beast while it's at its "weakest," but a small preparation can often be the decisive factor that governs your victory. • Bounce The Beast: The hunting phase is where the game shines. The beast comes in various shapes of crystals. You need to break open the scales and crash into the cores to defeat it. Precise aim and the right angle are key to the hunt. It is very satisfying to see our little protagonist bounce around the beast's body parts and deal tons of damage. But that's not all. The beast has a rampage countdown. It will immediately leave the battlefield when that number goes to zero. Breaking the sub-cores not only refreshes the timer but also hinders the beast's regenerative ability. This design adds a strategic element to the hunt. You need to carefully manage the health of the main core and the sub-cores within the turn limit to keep the beast in the fight. • Weapon Variety: Beast Breaker has quite a few selections when it comes to weapon variety. Sword & Shield is the most straightforward out of the bunch, dealing damage on every bounce; Bow & Arrow and Great Hammer can be a little tricky to use. Both of them require a few turns to warm up the gimmicks. The former wants you to accumulate enough arrows and unleash them all at once for great burst damage, while the latter lets you snowball one or two abilities with Inertia (a stackable effect that empowers the ability the more you use it); Throwing Knives are really interesting. They are similar to Bow & Arrow, except the knives stay on the field. Should you have enough charge to collect them, you can practically attack the beast for as long as you like. Moreover, each weapon category also has different sets and individual parts for you to craft and upgrade. The potential for build-crafting is incredible. • Other Compliments: • The NPCs are colorful. They may have their own struggles, but Skipper always manages to help them come to a better conclusion. • The overarching story is not the most intriguing, but it is definitely heartwarming. Things I Dislike About Beast Breaker: • Some Complaints: • The late-game beast relies too much on the low rampage countdown. This makes using weapons with setups unnecessarily hard. • I wish you could see the whole bounce prediction instead of just seeing the initial one. • The forge doesn't show you exactly which part you can craft. • Unlike consumables, the essence you can craft during the tracking phase never changes no matter how far you progress. • Upgrade a pre-set weapon only improve one of the four abilities instead of the whole set. 中文小簡評 《Beast Breaker》是一款畫風可愛、玩法簡單卻不失深度的回合製遊戲，將《魔物獵人》的一點狩獵要素與彈射機制融合，成功打造出很有趣的核心玩法，可自訂的武器種類及組合非常多樣，角色也都非常討喜，絕對是一款值得一試的獨立小品佳作。 喜歡的點 • 主要玩法分為兩階段。第一階段需要你在水晶獸吸收完腐敗水晶離開前把它找出來，了解其弱點與特性，同時收集足夠的素材來製作精華(為武器新增額外效果)與消耗品，算是一個與時間賽跑的小前置。當然你也可以直搗黃龍，在水晶獸最「弱」的時侯直接硬碰硬，不過稍加準備再上往往是勝負的關鍵。 • 戰鬥就是遊戲最大的亮點。水晶獸是由各種奇特形狀的水晶組成，你必須透過彈射主角撞破鱗片攻擊核心才…

Very charming! Cute art and good music go along way, but the gameplay sometimes feels frustrating. I may have a small brain for strategy but several of the weapons feel inconsistent with damage output. Along with some weapons only having some chance or zero chance to do damage to the core/hp of an enemy. I often find myself a few rounds into combat and about to lose, because i cant find a reliable way to do enough damage to stave off the end of combat timer, or because the luck of my placement on the map vs the enemy means i actually cant do anything. I also don't really like the scouting before each fight. I wish the range of view was longer, there have been more than a few occasions where I fail to protect the settlement because I was busy picking up materials or the beast approaches the town from an angle i didn't see them coming. I wish I had better to say about it, but I'd give it a huge recommendation on sale
