Backyard Baseball '01

Backyard Baseball is an incredibly fun game, but I wouldn't want you to fall into the same pitfall I did. I thought this game would let me customize my own team like many videos show, but this version of the game heavily emphasizes playing as an actual MLB-branded team. Not that customization isn't available, but it's much more limited than I expected. So, if you don't care about what your team branding is and you just want to play a Backyard Baseball game, then this is for you. Fear the Chop!

Just as I remember. I got this game out of a General Mills cereal box back in the day. And I had a blast playing this game. And I still am having a good time today playing this beloved game of mine. Baseball season is almost over with, but I know I will have the spirit of baseball during the cold, lonely, and depressing winter months when I am longing for warmer weather and a hot dog at the ballpark.

This game is a game you can lose hours to and still want to play more. There isn't much in it, but it keeps it freshness as you mismatch the teams and the amazing or clumsy plays your kids will do. For a baseball game, it is perfect.
