Anime Girl Puzzles is a casual digital jigsaw game built around colorful anime artwork and uncomplicated puzzle-solving. Developed and published by Sweet Momoka, it focuses on providing a relaxing experience rather than challenging players with complicated rules, demanding reflexes, or an elaborate storyline. The concept is immediately understandable: select an illustration, assemble its scattered pieces, complete the picture, and continue working through the available collection. Its simplicity makes it suitable for short sessions as well as longer periods of relaxed puzzle solving. The base game contains 24 puzzles featuring anime-style female characters in a variety of illustrations. Although that number is relatively modest, the ability to approach the images through different puzzle configurations gives the collection additional replay value. Players can choose easier arrangements when they simply want to enjoy the artwork or increase the complexity for a more traditional jigsaw challenge. This adjustable structure is important because it allows the same basic content to accommodate players with very different levels of patience and experience. Puzzle interaction is deliberately straightforward. Pieces are moved around the play area and gradually connected until the complete illustration is restored. There are no complicated systems standing between the player and the core activity, so the game is easy to understand within the opening minutes. The satisfaction primarily comes from watching an initially disorganized collection of fragments slowly transform into a recognizable picture. Different configurations help provide some variation, although the fundamental gameplay naturally remains repetitive because every challenge revolves around assembling another image. Progression gives the experience more purpose than simply finishing pictures once. There are 38 Steam achievements to pursue, alongside hidden bonus images that reward continued play. These additions are especially useful for completionists because they provide objectives beyond casually browsing through the artwork. Experimenting with different puzzle setups and gradually clearing the collection can therefore become surprisingly absorbing, even though the underlying mechanics remain simple. Visually, the anime illustrations are clearly the centerpiece. The game is aimed primarily at players who enjoy attractive anime character artwork, and much of the motivation for finishing each puzzle comes from revealing the completed image. There is some playful framing involving the characters, but players should not expect a developed narrative or meaningful character interaction. This is first and foremost a jigsaw collection, with the anime theme serving as its identity and visual reward rather than the foundation for a story-driven experience. The free base package also acts as an introduction to a much larger library of optional content. Additional DLC can expand the available selection to more than 200 puzzles. This provides substantial room for expansion for players who become invested in the game, although it also means that much of the total advertised collection is not included in the initial package. Fortunately, the free starting selection gives players an opportunity to determine whether they enjoy the artwork and puzzle mechanics before considering any additional purchases. Another advantage is how lightweight the game is. Its modest system requirements make it accessible to PCs that would struggle with more technically demanding releases. The game does not depend on elaborate graphical effects or processor-intensive simulation, allowing the artwork and puzzle interface to remain the focus. It is designed as a single-player experience, which complements the quiet and leisurely style particularly well. Steam Deck compatibility is officially categorized as Playable rather than fully Verified. Performance with the default graphics configuration is cons…
5/10 Jigsaw puzzle TLDR: simple jigsaw puzzle with AI ecci anime. It's a re-skin of Jigsaw Puzzle World but better looking overall. Congrats to the dev on discovering what people really want. They want PORN. Btw where is the porn here? Dressed girls are lame, even if anime. Good: + free + there is the option of a sliding puzzle (15-puzzle), rect pieces and triangular pieces + music track is fairly pleasant So-so: +/- no option for rotated pieces. So, pieces are just always in the correct rotation +/- buttons to instantly and correctly place all corner/edge pieces... helpful but probably makes it too easy? Bad: - puzzle pieces are rectangular instead of square. This probably doesn't matter since there is no rotation here anyway. But rectangular pieces just look unpleasant, as if they're stretched - can't play with your own images - I guess it should disclose AI usage (not that care, just saying). Fingers are the hardest to get right with AI, and one can see errors in some of the images. I honestly wonder if people are ready to pay $3 per pack of 24 AI-generated images here. Maybe they are? I love this game. It changed my life, now I love women with pink hair and blue eyes. They are just so mesmerizing and wonderful. Steam is a great platform with just such great games, and I think this game was actually my first ever Steam game I downloaded. And I love it.
