Alex Hill: Whispers at White Oak Inn

If I could describe this game in one word, it would be - TALKING :) Endless, endless talking with suspects and also talking by phone. I understand that it is an important part of the investigation, but honestly, it was too much and too boring for me. As for the game plot - well, it's not bad and the atmosphere of the inn was pretty mysterious, but I can't say it's really well-thought and exciting. The game is quite short, so personally I had the feeling that something is not finished. Speaking of puzzles, most of them were not so hard except the few ones, and there were not so many puzzles actually throughout the game. Also some of the puzzles seemed quite random and lacked sense (such as puzzle with hacking the phone), so I could not do without a hint from walkthrough. The graphics of the game seems a bit quirky (especially the characters) but at the same time nostalgic for such Nancy Drew fans as me. There was also a problem with cursor, it dissapeared sometimes which made gaming process not very comfortable sometimes. Despite all the negative sides, I think I would rather recommend this game, but only to Nancy Drew fans, because it really gives you the feeling of nostalgia of old Nancy Drew games, and it's great to feel it in 2025. I guess I will play the next part too, and hope that developers will take into account all the shortcomings in the next game, because it has a potential and I'm always glad to see new games, inspired by legendary Nancy Drew series.

Нот бэд, движок игры я бы сказала копия старых серий Нэнси Дрю, как по мне Her Interactive sold the old engine version of Nancy Drew, who knows, но выглядет это именнно так, мало того концовка так же как в каждой серии, ...Meet me at the new case/adventire... bla bla. Все равно не плохо, потому что Нэнси Дрю чтото супер долго выпускают, а последние версии игры довольно скучны потому что движок игры уже не тот. Отличная алтернатива для любитиле Нэнси Дрю.

Было здорово снова поиграть в нечто подобное. Я скучала по старым играм о Нэнси Дрю! Особенно ценно увидеть упоминания нашей любимой героини в дневнике, знакомые имена Бесс и Джордж, даже Микки Маллоун успел напомнить о себе. Приятно снова окунуться в эту атмосферу. С нетерпением жду новых приключений с Алекс Хилл.
